Professional drivers are required to have a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than non-professional drivers. These professionals must go through hours of training in order to master the knowledge required to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and become a professional driver.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs)  are published in Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
Course overview
This training course meets the curriculum requirements for Class A and Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement applicants which pertains to combination vehicles (Group A) as defined in 383.91.(a)(1) and in §383.5 and §383.93(c)(4).

The FMCSA’s ELDT training curriculum consists of theory training  and a behind-the-wheel driving test. Driver-trainees must complete their theory training and earn a minimum overall score of 80 percent on the theory assessments before they can move on to their in-person driving exam.
