Professional drivers are required to have a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than non-professional drivers. These professionals must go through hours of training in order to master the knowledge required to obtain a hazmat endorsement.

This course does not provide you with a commercial license or endorsement at the conclusion. This course satisfies the requirement of Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) Theory - which is required to gain a Hazmat endorsement. This course is not valid in the state of Washington.
Course overview
This training course meets the curriculum requirements for a Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement, as described in §383.5 and §383.93(c)(4).

The nation-wide ELDT mandate consists of theory training for a Hazmat Endorsement. Driver-trainees must complete their theory training and earn a minimum overall score of 80 percent on the assessments before they can move on to their in-person knowledge test at the DMV.
