Professional drivers are required to have a higher level of knowledge, experience, skills, and physical abilities than non-professional drivers. These professionals must go through hours of training in order to master the knowledge required to obtain a School Bus endorsement.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs)  are published in Title 49 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).


This course does not provide you with a commercial license or endorsement at the conclusion. This course satisfies the requirement of Entry Level Driver Training in order to qualify to take your Endorsement test at the DMV.
Course overview
This training course meets the curriculum requirements for a School Bus (S) endorsement, as described in §383.5 and §383.93(c)(5).

The FMCSA’s ELDT training curriculum consists of theory training. Driver-trainees must complete their theory training and earn a minimum overall score of 80 percent on the theory assessments before they can move on to their in-person knowledge test at the DMV.
